The Pilgrim's Way

I've found that over the years there's nothing better than to have a venue to share your thoughts and feelings about life-all of its ups and downs-the vicissitudes of a life full of love, loss, grief, and, ultimately, joy. It's my hope that through the exchange of stories and experiences, we, as human beings, will realize how connected to one another we truly are...to see the value in one another is the pilgrim's way.

In His Own Words, Bo Bartlett, Art and Life

1 comment:

  1. Georgia artist Bo Barlett is a tremendously gifted storyteller. Like he says in the video, he doesn't add anything to the paintings to give it meaning; it just is...the story is already there.

As you'll see in the video and if you, hopefully, see his work in person, he'll paint himself somewhere in the work--most of the time playing the part of supporting role or actually the protagonist of the story. I personally like the fact that he allows the viewer to be a part of the story--what if we could be the hero of the story, especially in those situations we feel we have no control over.

    Thank you, Mr. Bartlett.
